What does circulation (or the potential for circulation) contribute to the composing process?
Pieces of writing that are formed are always taking their audiences into consideration. The audience they circulate their work to are the ones they want to access their information and give a certain reaction to it. Their reactions are always attempted to be calculated and the writer is often aware of the reactions. The circulation, audience, network, communication and other factors are all take into consideration and are factored in when creating the work. The work of all of this is called the composing process. Certain factors are harder to calculate such as circulation and occasionally the audience because they can vary and increase the longer the work is put out. An example of this is if an article is put online for the Economist. The younger generation more often use the internet to discover articles so the audience would be a younger one that views it more often. However, the older audience tend to prefer a print version and they reactions will often be taken into account for the author. The Economist does have articles that are published online and in their magazine so this would be an example of the circulation of the article increasing the audience of the work. The circulation of works usually causes the other factors to change depending on where the work is circulated to.
